THEMIST-MOVIE.com

Bad URL

Movie URLs are tough -- I get it. Unless you have a very unique title, there's a good chance TheNameOfYourMovie.com will be taken. But slapping on a dash-movie (I've even seen dash-TheMovie, yikes!) is not the answer. Host the movie page on the studio site (TheMist.MGM.com) or, if your audience fits, on MySpace or the like. Unfortunately, this URL is doomed to be as forgetful as the flick.

I've noticed that more movie urls now have the word "movie" at the end. I'm thinking this helps the lawyers crush anyone trying to cyber squat ahead of time, but I agree, -'s are just like adding an additional word there because people have to say "Blah Blah Dash Blah.com".

It's a dash or a hyphen, not a slash. This is a slash: /
