F150BehindTheScenes.com

Good URL

I like what Ford did here. In the ad, they show one of their trucks being swung around in centrifugal motion. The copy on the screen says "actual demonstration" which catches your eye because you're used to car commercials using a disclaimer like "closed circuit, for demonstrational purposes only." And it feeds in nicely to the inherent call to action in the URL -- visit the site to see how the stunt was done. Also, gotta love how the leading caps affords this URL a chance at being remembered.

Mixed feeling about this one. I dont know about cars, so maybe F150 means something. But F150Behindthescenes. is a bit long to my tastes, not exactly common sense. I would use characteristics, FordTough.com or something like that, thats easier to brand and to remember and associate.

I hear you Art. But they're trying to play up the behind the scenes of this commercial that they spent millions on and showed a car being swung around by a cable. What better way to do that than with this URL? If the goal was just to brand Ford and send people to the main Ford website, I'd agree with you - go with something simple. But they are trying to extend the life-cycle of their TV spot and this seems to be the best way to do that.
